OPIS
The book, edited by Ewa Tartakowsky and Marcelo Dimentstein, is unique in its attempt to describe Jewish life in select countries of contemporary Europe and its examination of the main problems of the Jewish communities. Although there have been many publications written in recent years regarding the renewal of Jewish life in Poland, little has up until now, been written in comparative terms to the communities in this publication. The authors of this book are involved in various organizations supporting the Jewish community and cooperate with researchers representing Jewish studies and other scientific disciplines. The outstanding selection of texts and the editors’ compelling work makes this book a remarkable read, worthy of recommendation to all those interested in the modern world.
