The "guided discovery" approach of "Teach Yourself English Grammar" will give you the confidence to work out the rules of grammar for yourself and will help you learn and understand English grammar without a teacher. Each unit starts by looking at the meaning of the structure and asks you questions to check that you have undersood. Then it gives the form and looks at the spelling. It goes on to list the most common mistakes students make and ends with practice and exercises so you can have a final check that you have fully understood the grammar point the unit has been teaching you.
