Anna has risked everything to buy and renovate her tiny but beautiful cottage set in the sleepy village of Amberford.
The outside is perfect, but inside all is chaos: with a ladder for a staircase, no downstairs flooring, and only candles for lighting.
It's no wonder that Anna's soon wondering whether she's bitten off more than she can chew.
Her neighbour Chloe comes to the rescue: providing wine, sympathy and a rescue greyhound: Caroline!
But just as Anna's starting to believe she's found the perfect idyll, good-looking but impossible Rob Hunter arrives on the scene, putting up more obstacles than Anna can deal with.
Can Anna make this work? Can she have her dream house and win round the perfect man?
