OPIS
This book is the second in the Knowledge Cafe series that explores the concept of intellectual entrepreneurship and its significance for social, cultural, and economic development of nations. A group of scholars and entrepreneurs where invited to write specifically for this publication. Their assignment was to contribute to and comment on intellectual capital and intellectual product, and to advance the threshold of ideas on these subjects. Following the publication of this book, the UNESCO/EOLSS Chair in Intellectual Entrepreneurship in the World of Work and Higher Education for Sustainable Development called the second conference to bring the contributors together, and hopefully stimulate further research in this area. The first Knowledge Cafe? book was published in 1999 and dealt with the intellectual entrepreneur and intellectual entrepreneurship. It too was followed by a conference consisting of contributors and specially invited distinguished scholars and practitioners. UNESCO/EOLSS Chair in Intellectual Entrepreneurship was established at the Leon Ko?miński Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in 1998. It is chaired by Professor Stefan Kwiatkowski.
