OPIS
The current research on the history of Polish Protestantism concerns mainly domestic matters and contains mostly territories which are currently found within the borders of Poland. The description of the Protestant environment in exile haven’t so far found its author.
Polish parishes came into existence in Canada (Toronto), the USA (Detroit, New York), Australia (Adelaide), France (Paris), Germany (Düsseldorf, Essen). In Stockholm in 1975 there appeared the Polish Lutheran Association in Sweden which existed until 1978 when it was replaced by Polish Lutheran Institute.
However, it was Great Britain that remained the center of the Polish Lutheranism in exile all the time.
Also a registered office of the Polish Evangelical-Reformed Church in Great Britain was located in London grouping small Calvinistic emigration.
Polish parishes or Polish religious communities still exist in Great Britain, Canada, Germany and Australia.
