OPIS
A sketch is generally not a final drawing but rather an essential part in the design process that is used extensively by architects and designers. Different supports and techniques have been used through history where sketches have taken the form of elaborate studies. Leonardo da Vinci's sketches for instance show incredible brilliance and cover a wide range of topics including architecture and body studies. These sketches still marvel the world today. Beauty is not the goal that architects generally pursue with these drawings, but as tools to explore ideas and concepts, sketches also transmit a very personal message that adds to the quality and the uniquencess of the drawings.
