Anglica. An International Journal of English Studies is a peer-reviewed journal published since 1988 under the auspices of the Institute of English Studies, University of Warsaw. Anglica is an annual print in two volumes. The literary volume contains articles addressing various aspects of Anglophone culture ranging from the medieval period to the twenty-first century, with specific emphasis on literature, film, theatre, music, and visual arts. The contributions represent a diversity of theoretical approaches (historical, philosophical, post-colonial, trauma theory, or gender studies). The linguistic volume contains submissions focusing on language synchrony and diachrony, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics and language contact. The journal provides research in a variety of areas, encompassing different theoretical approaches.
