OPIS
For the growing number of experienced travellers roaming the continents of today, Polan remains a rather strange and exotic land, still waiting to be descovered. Having thoroughly penetrated Italy, France, Spain, tourists are now turning towards the formerly isolated countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and Poland is getting its share of attention. Much to their own amazement, travellers seeking new vistas, emotions and local attractions are discovering that the country of Chopin, Copernicus, Pope John Paul II and Lech Wałęsa has many sights of exquisite beauty to offer. There are historic towns, castles, churches and monsteries, as well as national parks. There is the famous Białowieska Forest, home to the rare European bison, there are the Biebrza Marshes with its plentiful wildfowl, the shifting dunes of Baltic coast, the brown bears in the Carpathians, and thousands of other attractions.
